Privacy Policy

What we collect when you apply, order or contact us, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Last updated · September 1, 2026
In plain English
We collect what we need to verify researchers, ship orders and answer questions. We do not sell your data, we do not run advertising trackers, and you can ask us to delete your records at any time.
§01

Our principles

  • Collect the minimum. Every field on the application exists because compliance or shipping needs it.
  • Never sell. We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and we do not share it with data brokers.
  • No ad tech. There are no advertising pixels or cross-site trackers on this site.
  • You are in control. You can see, correct or delete what we hold, and opt out of any marketing, by emailing us.
§02

Fulfilling ordersOrder details, to process payment, ship packages, collect any required tax and answer questions about an order.

§04

Who we share with

We share personal information only with providers that help us run the service, and only the parts they need:

  • Payment processors, to charge your card and detect fraud.
  • Shipping carriers, to deliver your order.
  • Email and SMS providers, to send sign-in codes, order updates and, if you opted in, announcements.
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers, which store our systems and logs.
  • Regulators, law enforcement or courts, when we are legally required to, or when necessary to protect people or enforce our Terms.

Each provider is bound by contract to use your information only for the service they provide to us. If AminoStation is ever acquired or merged, your information may transfer to the new owner under this same policy.

§05

Text messaging

We only send SMS to numbers that have opted in. Messages cover order status and occasional announcements. Reply STOP to opt out at any time and HELP for assistance. Message and data rates may apply. Mobile numbers and SMS consent are never shared with third parties for their own marketing.

§06

Cookies & analytics

We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies: one to keep you signed in after you enter an access code, and one to protect forms against forgery. They are not used to track you across other sites.

If we measure site traffic, we use privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics that do not build profiles of individual visitors. We do not use advertising cookies or social-media pixels. Because we do not track you across sites, the site does not respond differently to "Do Not Track" signals; there is nothing to turn off.

§07

How long we keep it

DataRetention
Applications and certificationsFor as long as your access is active, then three years, so we can show that access was granted properly.
Order recordsSeven years, to meet tax and accounting obligations.
Support conversationsTwo years after the last message.
Sign-in codesTen minutes, then deleted whether or not they were used.
Server logsNinety days.
Marketing consentUntil you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.

When a retention period ends we delete the data or anonymize it so it no longer identifies you.

§08

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
  • correct anything that is wrong or out of date;
  • delete your information, unless we must keep it to meet a legal duty;
  • stop sending you marketing, at any time.

Email privacy@aminostation.com from the address on your application and we will respond within 30 days. We will never treat you differently for exercising these rights. Residents of California and other states with privacy laws have these rights by statute, including the right to know that we do not sell or share personal information for advertising.

§09

Security

All traffic to the site is encrypted in transit. Access to application and order data is limited to staff who need it, protected by multi-factor authentication and logged. Sign-in codes are single-use and expire in ten minutes. Payment card data is handled entirely by our PCI-compliant processor.

No system is perfectly secure. If we learn of a breach that affects your information we will tell you, and any regulator we are required to notify, without undue delay.

§10

Children

This site is for researchers aged 21 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
